Vision: To build a united, conscious and empowered generation of African youth who rise as architects of Africa’s transformation, leading with purpose, dignity and collective action toward a prosperous and self-determined Africa.
ORGANISATIONAL HISTORY
The African Youths Improvement League is not a duplication of black radical movement but a continuation of the radical Pan-African organizations that emerged in the 19th and 20th centuries. Founded on February 5, 2021, by Kwame Nesiqhamo Upanga from Ghana, the league draws inspiration from the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League (UNIA/ACL), established by Marcus Garvey.
Birthed in Ghana, the movement has expanded to over 10 countries across Africa and beyond. Guided by the principles of justice, liberation, and unity, the league is a dynamic force shaping a new generation of informed, empowered, and socially conscious leaders.
